Napatree Investigators
Children 7-14 are invited to learn more about the amazing marine environment that makes up Napatree. Programs are offered twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from July 5 to August 6 (weather permitting). They consist of a morning session from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and an afternoon session from 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Children are invited to attend as many sessions as they want; each session is limited to 18 children. Registration is encouraged; email napatreenaturalist@live.com.

Nature Walks
Two hour Saturday morning nature walks from June 4 - August 20, 2011 are open to adults and families, conducted by local naturalists.  The walk on Saturday, August 20 will be led by Margaret (Peg) Van Patten, Communications Director for the Connecticut Sea Grant College Program, and the author of "Seaweeds of Long Island Sound".  This will be a fascinating program for both adults and children.  Seaweed is critical to many creatures who call it home.  It comes in different colors and structures which gives a hint as to where it grows in the ocean.  Walks begin at the entrance of Napatree Point Conservation Area at 9:00 AM.
